Kelly Erola, MD
Chief Medical Director for Hospice Savannah
She works with your personal physician to make sure you or your loved one receive the highest quality pain and symptom management.
Dr. Erola is a board certified Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician. She is the Chief Medical Director for Hospice Savannah and the palliative medicine physician for The Steward Center for Palliative Care in Savannah, GA. Dr. Erola has been involved in the development of the new subspecialty of palliative medicine since 2002. She graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and later pursued her medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her primary board certification is in Family Medicine.
Dr. Erola is a steering committee member of the Georgia Pain Initiative; member of the ethics committees and cancer committees at Memorial Health University Medical Center and St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System; Vice Chairman of Department of Family Medicine, Memorial Health University Medical Center, 2012-2013; and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, Mercer University School of Medicine, where she is involved in family medicine resident end-of-life education.
