Not every one has the time to go through our extensive volunteer training and volunteer on a regular basis, but hosting a snack drive is an easy and meaningful way for community volunteer groups, Sunday school classes, school groups, etc. to help Hospice Savannah!
Our Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU) volunteers stock a Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU) Family Kitchen. It’s nice to offer visiting family members individually wrapped snacks such as juices, sodas, nuts, crackers, or candy so they can stay at their loved one’s bedside and not have to leave to find a restaurant. If you need suggestions for snacks, please give me a call at 912.629.1053.

Here is the link to our agency’s wish list if you would like other giving ideas!
And finally, if you do decide to volunteer with us – whether at Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU), in homecare, in nursing homes, through community outreach, in bereavement, in helping our caregiver institute or in our administrative offices, here is the link to find out more. Our next all-day training will be offered on Monday, November 7.
