Virtual Reality for Pain and Anxiety
April 15 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
“Virtual Reality for Pain and Anxiety” starts Tuesday, April 15, 10:30am at the HInesville Library. This topic will be presented by Hospice Savannah’s President/CEO Dr. Kathleen Benton, and feature demonstrations by Healthcare Outreach Educator Kellie Whelchel. This groundbreaking approach engages the brain’s neurological pathways through immersive three-dimensional experiences to reduce anxiety, fear, and chronic pain.
Dr. Benton has co-authored a book on Virtual Reality and its use in the treatment of serious illnesses. She will be available for book signings on April 8 and 22, with copies of her book available for a donation to Hospice Savannah.
