It’s hard to believe it will be Thanksgiving next week…just where did the year go? It is such a busy time with such a lot of events on people’s social calendars! I hope you may be able to carve out a little time to visit our Art Gallery this Friday evening between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. to meet three fiber artists and see their “Woven and Quilted Intersections.”
Abigail Kokai is showing quilts depicting the sights and sounds of her neighbors on East 35th Street in Savannah;Julie Rittmeyer displays quilts reflecting her world travels – from the cliffs of Inis Mor on the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland, to Monet’s garden at Giverny, to Savannah Beach; and Donna Ireton shows contemporary basketry crafted from pine needles, feathers, cedar, and driftwood.
Come restore your spirits! I look forward to seeing you Friday.
